Beginnings

I wanted to make a preliminary, very simple post, just explaining what in the world is going on!  So many people are asking questions, and I am refering them to my blog because so much more will be going on here in the coming months!

I am leaving for South Africa, via London, on February 8th as a missionary for Christ.  I will be working through International teams with David and Jean Padbury to help further their youth ministry outside of Durban.  I will return home (tentatively) on July 1.

To follow I will be posting here regularly, no less than once a week, with both written and video journals, prayer requests, updates, and stories for anyone and everyone who would like to hear.

Sometime this week I will also be putting up my Mission and Vision statements for my trip (once I finally decide the right words for the feeling in my heart), and I hope to have a video entry very soon- hopefully on my experience this week at the ITeams US Headquarters in Elgin, IL where I am completing my missionary training.

It's cold here, but I am learning a lot and can't wait to tell you all about it!
